81X chain with chrome pins is made for critical applications that have a high-cost in breakdowns. Using the chrome plating on hardened pins creates an extremely hard, wear-resistant surface that can resist wear up to 3x longer in most applications. Most commonly chrome pin 81X chain can be found in timber processing, pulp and paper, grain processing, bulk processing, and heavy-load conveying application. Our 81X chrome pin chain uses additional heat-treated parts like the side-plates, bushings, and rollers for increased wear resistance. These chains also feature a solid bushing solid roller (SBR) design that provides superior performance and wear resistance in any application.
