Roller Chains for Sawmills

Choosing the right roller chain to use in your sawmill can be difficult because of the wide variety of applications that are within a mill and the different needs that you have for the chain. Below we have some charts showcasing the roller chains that we have had the best luck with from actual long-term field testing.

Mill Duty Roller Chains:
Our mill-duty roller chains are manufactured with quality components that hold up in some of the toughest environments out there.
Inside and Outside Plates - All plates in our mill-duty roller chains are heat-treated and shot-peened for better durability and shock-load ability.
Pins - The pins used in these chains are heat-treated and hardened to a high Rockwell rating to withstand hard shock and operate in high-speed circumstances. This will also help for applications where there is a lot of stopping and starting.
Bushings - Instead of using the stereotypical split-bushing design we use a solid bushing. This feature alone provides a longer service life and wear life. It also creates less friction which results in better performance and efficiency which in turn decreases energy cost.
Rollers - Because rollers are the part of the chain that receives most of the beating they are also manufactured with no seam. Additionally, they are made from a high-strength steel that has been extreme heat-treated for improved durability and wear life.
