The nickel-plated citrus chain provides economic resistance to corrosion in citrus packing house operations. The chain is a C2060H with a 1/2" X 1-5/8" D-5 pin on every 2nd pitch with an anti-corrosive nickel plating on each component. Nickel plating has several benefits outside of corrosion resistance, such as an additional wear surface and austenitic appearance. Our C2060HNP nickel-plated chain with a D5 attachment every 2nd pitch is manufactured following ANSI B29.1 standards for direct interchangeability with other brands features solid rollers, and is plated using unique processes that prevent the plating from flaking and cracking. Citrus chains are utilized worldwide in a broad range of packing houses to convey products from one point to the next using gravity rollers. Functionality-wise, the D-5 extended pin supports both sides of the rollers; a roller end-cap with a 1/2" inside diameter is inserted on both sides of the rollers, which is where the pin is inserted, causing a freely rating bearing surface for the pin and roller. The simple design is highly effective for transporting fruits and is easy to maintain.

Nickel-Plated Citrus Chain Corrosion

From an anti-corrosive perspective, nickel plating only provides corrosion resistance to a certain degree. With our continued salt spray testing, initial rust on a nickel-plated chain will begin somewhere between 100 and 150 hours of use in a corrosive environment. For improved corrosion resistance, we recommend our coated or stainless citrus chain. The test was carried out for 250 hours, and our coated chain still showed no signs of rust at 250 hours.

Roller end caps are also commonly known as roller end bearings; they are typically used with 2" schedule 40 PVC, 2" EMT, and 2-1/4" OD tubing with a 0.83" sidewall.	The roller grommets are the grey "spacers" in the above GIF image. They create a larger pocket for when larger produce is being run.	Brushes are used for cleaning the citrus and produce. We supply a wide range of industrial brushes in a multitude of colors.	Washer sprockets are 60B11 sprockets with a unique hub. Our washer sprockets are made from 1045 steel and have hardened teeth with an anti-corrosive black oxide coating.
