The NSC56-4 start capacitor is made for NT1.5-36-56CB, NT1.5-18-56CB, NT2-36-56CB and NT2-18-56CB (40uf/250V) electric motors. Start capacitors are used to briefly increase the motors starting torque, which allows a motor to be cycled on and off rapidly.
