We want our tools to be used for years, so we offer extra parts. Not only does this make it so that you don't have to purchase a whole new breaker, but it also ensures you won't be without your breaker. Even in the toughest jobs!06B Chain Breaker Tip
The tip is easy to keep around; this part of the tool takes 95% of the wear and tear. One extra one is supplied in the box, but if you plan on breaking the chain consistently, it doesn't hurt to have an extra tip or two to ensure you don't have to go without your breaker.
06B Chain Breaker Screw Assembly
The screw assembly is the component that houses the tip and is the part where the handle slides through. Though you shouldn't need one of these for a while, it's nice to have an extra one around whenever you do.
How To Use 06B Chain Breaker
Safety Notes:- Make sure you are wearing safety glasses as well as safety gloves before using the chain breaker.

- Make sure all equipment that the chain is on is shut off.
Step 1
![]() Clamp the Chain Breaker Onto the rollers of the roller chain. Note: It is imperative to ensure that the tip of the roller chain breaker and the pin of the roller chain are aligned exactly. If not, you may break the chain breaker tip or be unable to break the roller chain. |
Step 2![]() Turn the handle clockwise to push the pin and break the rivet of the chain. The end result of this should look something like the photo below. As you can see, the roller chain rivet has been broken. Some people choose to stop at this step and attempt to push the single pin out. While this may work in some instances, it is not recommended and can be very difficult to do. ![]() |

Step 3![]() Next, you basically repeat steps one and two on the other pin. After this step, your chain should look something like the photo below. Both rivets on that chain side are now broken, and you are ready to remove the pin link. ![]() |
