2060 Sprockets

2060 sprockets are manufactured for double-pitch chain sizes C2060, C2060H, and A2060. 2060 Chains have a 1.5" ANSI pitch and are considered to be a double pitch style chain as they have double the pitch of their ANSI 60 counterpart. Our offering of 2060 sprockets are manufactured dimensionally in accordance with ANSI B29.1 Standards and supersede in quality, precision, and overall working life. Our standard in-stock sizes (referenced on the below size chart) set themselves apart from other brands.

2060 Chain Sprocket Features

The industry standard for ANSI sprockets is a 1018 steel material, ours utilize a denser and stronger form of carbon steel called C1045. Using this steel produces a stronger, longer-lasting, and overall better-performing sprocket in all application types. The Below chart shows the actual metallurgy specificational data between these two grades of steel.
1018 Steel Vs. 1045 Steel:
Properties 1018 Steel 1045 Steel

Knoop Hardness 145 184
Rockwell B Hardness 71 84
Vickers Hardness 131 170
Ultimate Tensile Strength 63,800 psi 84,800 psi
Yield Tensile Strength 53,700 psi 65,300 psi
Elongation at Break (at 50mm) 15% 12%
Reduction of Aera 40% 35%

Heat treating and hardening the teeth of a sprocket is, in essence, a process that changes the microstructure of the steel to achieve an even distribution of carbide crystals throughout the base structure. A sprocket with hardened teeth have a far superior working life than those who do not have it, this creates a much more abrasion and wear-resistant surface on the teeth. Please note that it is important that the heat-treatment is done to a precise Rockwell hardness spec that won't inflict additional wear on the roller chain. Our sprockets are heat-treated to this specific hardness so you get the maximum tooth and chain life.

Black oxide, also known as blackening is a conversion coating that prevents material buildup and corrosion. All of our standard in-stock 2060 sprockets undergo this process to ensure an extended life in dirty and or outdoor applications.
It's important to verify that you have a 2060 chain and not a 2062 chain when ordering sprockets because the tooth profiles are different. 2060 chains have rollers with diameters that do not extend past the side plates, while 2062 chains do. Most manufacturers use the same side-plates that have 2060 etched into them which can cause confusion in the matter, review the below photos to verify that you have a 2060 chain. We also stock 2062 chain sprockets for 2062 chains.
